Pennsylvania Collegiate Wrestler for the 2001 Season

 WrestlingReport.com, announced today that Edinboro University’s Josh Koscheck, a junior, has been selected as WrestlingReport’s Pennsylvania Collegiate Wrestler of the Year for the 2001 season. Mr. Koscheck, a native of Waynesburg, PA, was the unanimous choice of the selection panel comprised of WrestlingReport staff and college coaches. Koscheck, who wrestled at 174 pounds during the past season, won five tournaments - the Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Classic, the Las Vegas Invitational, the PSAC’s, the EWL’s, and capped the season by winning the NCAA Division I Tournament at Iowa City. Mr. Koscheck, who placed 4th at the NCAA’s as a redshirt freshman in 1999 and was NCAA runner-up in 2000, finished the 2001 season undefeated at 42-0. Mr. Closson noted that WrestlingReport is highly committed to Pennsylvania collegiate wrestling and wants each year to spotlight the best collegiate wrestler who is a Pennsylvania native and, in addition, wrestles for a Pennsylvania college or university.
