I believe I heard Rob mention that his brother is an accomplished dancer (ballet).

Same academic major as Dake, no? A coincidence, or is developmental sociology a good field for wrestlers.

Also the twin angle-- one a dancer, the other a wrestler-- is pretty intriguing.

Ben Askren is picking Dake. Interesting, even if for all the usual reasons. http://www.flowrestling.org/coverage/25 ... redictions

Edward Villella was arguably the best ever American born ballet dancer. When his father made him give up ballet he took up boxing and became an amateur champ. He boxed for New York Maritime College. He commented that the things that made him great at ballet -- quickness, balance, strength, endurance -- made him a good boxer. When asked how the rigors of boxing compared to ballet, he replied that there was no comparison. Ballet was much tougher.

So it may not be so surprising that Nashon's twin is a good ballet dancer having the same characteristics that make Nashon an outstanding wrestler.

In terms of athletic ability, sure, it's not a surprise. Dancers are very athletic, and have builds no so unlike lightweight wrestlers. But in terms of culture, I think it is very surprising, just as your story about Eddy Villella, who made a great guest appearance as sports fan in "The Odd Couple," is surprising.
