So very sorry to hear about Allen's passing. He was a true ambassador for the sport of wrestling. Allen cared about and followed every college competitor. He'd contact me personally whenever he thought I could help him know about the Maryland kids he followed. I'll miss our contacts and miss hearing his thoughtful comments about so many wrestlers we follow. Whenever he traveled to MD or Navy matches he'd always show his tremendous interest in the kids. RIP Allen. You will be truly missed by our great sport.

College wrestling lost a great fan.
While at LEHIGH, one learned that you had to be able to take criticism if you gave it out.
Allen certainly met this criteria. The success of "Wrestling Report" was due to his commentary.
Based upon my experience, Allen never took our criticism personally.

My deepest condolences to his wife, Nona, and their children.
Although his death is bringing tears now, your memories will bring happiness.

Will be forever grateful for all Allen did for the sport. Wrestling sure lost a great one. My prayers are with him and his family.
