Going into the finals, USA is in the lead 52-51 over Russia. Each country has 3 finalists, with Russia also having a bronze medal match at 65 kg.
Each country gets one team point if they win the gold medal match; two points if they win the bronze medal match.
Two weights where USA wrestles Russia in the finals - 74kg Burroughs vs Tsabolov and 97kg Snyder vs Sadulaev.

If the USA wins two matches they win the team championship. Would be the First time in 22 years !
If two countries tie in team points, the tie-breaker is # of gold medals won.

Team championship will go to the winner of Snyder vs Sadulaev !

The showdown for the individual gold medal at 97kg and also for the team championship. Snyder vs Sadulaev, both the youngest Olympic champions in their country's history.
Sadulaev gets first td on a counter in 15 seconds. Snyder gets a step out; then Sadulaev gets one. Snyder gets a snap-down td to make it 3-3. End of first period.
Sadulaev gets td on edge. 5-3 with 1 minute to go. Snyder gets 1 for step out. Snyder gets td. Up 6-5.
Snyder WINS; USA WINS
Epic bout
