City League Update
as of Monday, January 5, 2015

Most District 8 teams have been busy over the holiday break competing in several contests across the SW and NW Regions. The updates are as follows:

ALLDERDICE
12-2 (District: 3-0)

The Dragons visited Erie Central Tech on December, 27th to attend the annual Major Tom Carr Team Duals, resulting in a 4-1 record. Their only loss was to Cranberry HS by one deciding point, 39-38.

Notable wrestlers for the Dragons at the Major Tom Carr Duals:

Next up: HOME - Thursday, Jan 8th, 6:00 PM vs. Carrick. This is a big match-up that will determine the #1 seed.

CARRICK
6-3 (District: 3-0)

The Raiders recently participated in the West Mifflin Steve DeAugustino Holiday Classic on December 29th & 30th. The following wrestlers had multiple wins while facing tough competition:

Matt O’Connor, Jr. (113): 3-3, 5th place
Juan Rodriguez, So. (132): 2-2, dnp
Cody Kirk, So. (145): 2-2, dnp
Cory Dees, So. (160): 4-2, 4th place

Next up: AWAY - Thursday, Jan 8th, 6:00 PM @ Allderdice

BRASHEAR
3-4 (District: 1-2)

The Bulls were also busy over the break competing in both the Redbank Valley Christmas Tournament on December 27th & the West Mifflin Steve DeAugustino Holiday Classic on December 29th & 30th with the following wrestlers performing well:

PERRY
7-7 (District: 1-2)

The Commodores were very busy over the holiday break, attending both the Major Tom Carr Team Duals at Erie Central Tech on Dec 27th & the South Side Duals on Jan 3rd (results TBA – not included in above record). Perry was one of the top-performing teams at the Major Tom Carr Duals with a 4-1 record, with their only loss to Cranberry HS.

WESTINGHOUSE

The Bulldogs participated the West Mifflin Steve DeAugustino Holiday Classic on December 29th & 30th with Jamon Miyares, So. (220) picking up multiple wins with a record of 2-2. Westinghouse will make it interesting during the final stretch of district matches being in a 3-way tie with Brashear & Perry.

Next up: HOME – Thursday, Jan 8th, 4:00 PM vs. Brashear

OBAMA
0-8 (District: 0-3)

It appears that the Eagles took a break over the holiday in preparation for their upcoming matches. Obama certainly has several wrestlers that will challenge for the individual championships.

Shane Edwards, So. (170), 6-1

Thank you so much my friend for the holiday break updates. I like this post. Well, Christmas is right around the corner and I am making plans to throw a grand party on this Christmas day. Currently I am quite busy so I would like to hire the best event planner nyc for my party arrangements. So please recommend a good party planner!
