I total get RB's sentiments. I'm a bit disappointed even with the logical answer that I shouldn't be disappointed. Young team. The UNI performance made me expect more I guess. Both rematches with UNI at CKLV we lost.

I'm going to enjoy the season ... hoping to see some (at least) incremental improvement given the kids we have and the quality of the coaching staff.

Seawolf, you've got my drift - I'm not saying this was a bad showing, I just had hopes/expectations for just a little bit better - and yes, the UNI win definitely stokes that!

That said, the youth of this team is a huge plus in terms of the future, and as we all know - Rob gets 'em ready in March!

Yianni!!!!

Impressive win. 3 TD's over Meredith, even if one was waived off for being awarded too soon.

4-2 in SV after having another TD wiped off in the 3rd!

Note that Yianni didn't give up a single offensive point in his five victories. Gabe-like.

Okay, so some folks out here are starting to make some comparisons beteeen Yianni and another Big Red wrestler who won the 141-pound NCAA title coming right out of high school (and 3 more to follow) a few years back.
The nod goes to Yianni in 1st year Las Vegas tournament results. The Kid won a few but dropped two matches (4-2 to Humphrey of Ohio State and 2-1 to Bailey of Oklahoma).

Expectations are growing !

NO DOUBT! And like I said before, he is still rounding into form. I expect to see a much more dynamic Yiandog come March. Sky is the limit.

Saw the beginning of Yanni's interview on flow. Seems like an incredibly likable kid!
