New AWN rankings

Postby klehner » Mon Nov 20, 2017 5:16 pm

Some changes for Cornell from last week.

125: nothing to #20 Russo (replaced Schwarm)
141: #18 Yianni to #11
174: #8 Womack to #9 (swapped places with Lujan)
184: #18 Dean to #10 (still behind #7 Foster)
197: #15 Darmstadt to #16 (?)

No love for JJ or Chaz yet.

There are only six ranked Ivy wrestlers other than Cornell.

There are nine ranked Lehigh wrestlers, with Yianni and Ben ranked higher in their respective weight classes.

Yeah, it's still early.

Yeah, I'm bored.

If they ranked Chavez, they would have had to give that same ranking to his opponent. As JJC scored all of their points for them.

Intermat starts Yianni at 12, Chavez at 18, Dean at 10 and Darmstadt at 19. Womack drops to 9. Let's see Russo, Tucker, Santoro and Honis earn their way on the board. I see Furnas as a grinder who will win his share of matches but I don't see him getting ranked (but it would be cool if he did).

The Open Mat

125: Russo (15) !
141: Diakomihalis (8)
165: Chavez (15)
174: Womack (10)
184: Dean (5) !!!

Still no ranking for Tucker or Honis (no surprise) or Darmstadt (small surprise).

If it makes you feel better W.I.N. has Honis 14th and Darmstadt 17th. Both at 197. They also have Steve Schneider 12th and 19th at 184.

FWIW they fixed this; DeCiantis (Drexel) is at 19.
