Mike Russo, not to be confused with Matt Russo or Matthew

Postby NJDan » Thu Nov 16, 2017 4:43 pm

In Coach Koll's recent e-mail blast, he wrote about Matt Russo winning the Bearcat. But he really meany Mike, who is a 125 pounder. Matt is a 141 pounder. The 16-pound difference is interesting since they are twin brothers.

Speaking of Mike, does anyone know (a) why he did not wrestle last year or (b) if he never won states in NJ because he lost to Suriano or Kyle Bierdumpfel, who is now at Harvard?

Owen (197) and Craig Scott (285) are twin brothers, too. Probably a bit more than 16 pound difference!

Mike lost to Anthony Cefolo (Rider) in the semis in 2015 (senior year); apparently also lost to Cefolo in 2014 in the semis; lost to Suriano in the semis in 2013.

Also not to be confused with Mike Russo of Brown University.

Actually, Matt M. Russo, Mike's twin, has wrestled 149 so far this year. Supposedly Mike is making a deep cut to get to 125.
