If Yianni could not comfortably beat Will Koll he would be greyshirting.

Yianni will be top 10 by the end of the year, I don’t see Koll having nearly that kind of upside and i think that is actually a “safe” guess, i’m actually thinking more like top 5.

Coach Koll said as much himself. Yianni is a talent on another level.

No, it's another dip acting out.

Good point. I responded without even looking at who posted.

Did anyone else note how Yianni's body has changed since high school, and even since his brief return to the mat following surgery? He has thinned out and therefore looks longer, although he probably isn't.

Surprised at the little intel on Baughman and Sweaney.

Here's the intel...from Rob Koll interview. Baughman has grown out of 125 and Sweany is injured.

On another subject... very excited to see Jon Jay back in the mix. Maybe your next surprise AA :).

Inbteresting. He's 5'4" and I think Koll said last year he had to grow into 125. Russo is 5'7" and had to cut significantly to get to 125 and wrestled at 133 last year if I recall. I'm sure Baughman is a good kid but boy this is a tough hit for a program w few competitive options at 125 and 133 other than Russo and Tucker.

Very surprised to hear that Noah has "outgrown" 125. I hope he can find a way to get back down, as he is one of our best young prospects.

That says more about R. Cruz than it does about Will Koll.

Tough crowd! Cruz was an AA and 6-0 lifetime against Cornell. No love for the coaches son.

Lots of love for Will. Brilliant kid. Very good wrestler. But Yianni is a special kid.

^All of this. Just rewatched Koll vs. #4 Kolodzik at the dual last year. Will was so tough in a big match, keeping it to a 5-3 regular decision. Kept #12 Pletcher to a regular decision in tOSU meet that would have changed the outcome otherwise. Kept #11 R. Cruz to a regular decision that might have changed the outcome of the Lehigh dual last year.

Yianni is just that special. I'm guessing twhib knows this.
