Cornell Secures '19 Commitment From 2017 NYS Champ, Svingala

I know the Big Red, like every other school, is all in on McHenry. However, this is not a bad fallback option.

Svinagala is likely going to finish his scholastic career as a three-time Small School State Champion...He darn-near majored (9-2 decision) the defending state champion in the 2017 finals to claim his first NYPHSAA crown.

Because he does not do a whole lot of national events, he is a little under the radar...

Was just saying they needed to recruit lightweights. Looks like he could land at 133. A very nice grab and another good sign we are keeping kids within NYS. He will be on the radar now especially given that he beat Kurt McHenry. I'd like to see them get 113 Lber Howard out of Jersey. He looks to be a 125 and will be a high flyer this year as a Junior.

Are you referring to Robert Howard out of Bergen Catholic? He is a 120 this year as a sophomore.
