Has CU ranked #18 in dual meet and unranked in tourney format. We have Honis ranked #20, Womack ranked #8 and YD ranked #12. Time to start proving them wrong (hopefully).

Interesting that Macri is ranked #15 at 125, but Baughman isn't ranked. As of start of this season, Baughman has better career record (26-13 vs 16-11) and roughly equal bonus % (33% vs. 34%)

Baughman will just have to make his mark on the mat.

Absolutely. I think he is ready to do just that this season.

Well, for what it's worth, before Macri broke his finger, Koll had him ranked higher than Baughman too.

No one said Noah should be ranked higher than Macri. They remarked that Noah was unranked regardless of Macri's digital health.

I thought the practice was to not rank true freshmen (like YD) at all.

Do people think he has a shot at the title?

>>>>>>> I think it is (was) a good practice. It's one thing to rank a deferred freshman who has beaten ranked opponents and another to rank a true frosh that was injured last year. Yes, he is an elite free-styler and a prep star but he will have ample time to earn a ranking by January. Is that too long to wait? Apparently so.

I'm one that thinks he can win it all....if fully recovered from injury. IMO, Yianni has John Smith-like horsepower -- it's enough to get the job done. Heil and Meredith are beasts so he will have to slick them. Not impossible but daunting. This guy *alone* makes Cornell better than where they were ranked.

Hope you are right. But I just recalled that Dean Heil has beaten Joey McKenna, who has a similar freestyle pedigree to YD.

Depends on which group is doing the ranking. I contacted Flo about Max Dean's ranking because they come right out and say that they don't rank true frosh. The response was that since he graduated HS in 2016 they'll rank him -- so their definition of a true frosh is different from others. Amateur Wrestling News has Darmstadt ranked at 197, so I guess they're using Flo's definition.

I remember way back when Flo was probably cut and pasting other's rankings as their own, because they were transferring misspellings too.
