Nev up 7-0 now! Nice. 2 TDs -- looking forward to seeing videos of these matches he has had. Glad for him. I've haven't been all that complementary this year but he is showing his metal in this. Gotta hand it to him. s

Now a reversal! 9-0 and RT building!! Nice!

Late reversal 9-2 win I believe.

Contrats on your 5th place finish Mike. Huge. Steady improvement from last year!

Soooooooooooo close to an MD! Just seconds away. But enough nitpicking. I can't wait to watch this match. Huge win for Mike. Two-time AA, improved his results year-over-year, got aggressive as the tournament went on. Awesome.

Sakaguchi beats Houdashelt at 149, so Cornell is still a bit in front of Missouri for 5th place.

Great interview with Koll on espnu just now, regarding tonight. Asked what he'll do to help Dake from the corner. Koll says he is just there as a cheerleader or fan. Says Dake is far better than he was at this point in their careers and it's all in his hands.

Regardless of what happens in the finals, Cornell finishes in 5th place. We can't catch Iowa and Ohio State can't catch us. I don't think any of the experts had us that high. Congratulations to Koll and co. for another amazing tournament. Now let's make history tonight!

The guy Nevi beat for 5th, Henderson, was a rival to CV in prep school, or his twin brother was, or both. Huge mental toughness for Nevinger to keep coming back and beating higher seeds!

ugarte wrote:Meanwhile, Nevinger is getting killed. Down 7-0 in the first. Eep.

Edit: Looks like that was an error on Track; instead of correcting NF2 to NF3, it had both. Only down 5-0 (and 1:43 in RT) at end of 1.

But a reversal to start the second makes it 7-0 again...
