Ah, well. A 4-1 loss to Ruth is almost a tie.

But Nevinger has a chance to outdo 2012. Who saw that coming after the first round? Maybe he can do the full Manotti!

Bounces Steve down to the animal cage tomorrow. He's gonna have to beat them all!

The "Full Manotti"? Didn't they make a movie about that?

Good job by both Nevi and Bosak, they've got every reason to be proud of what they've done so far, and I trust neither one is finished yet. Hats off to Ruth - that guy really is awesome.

I'm a bit frustrated about Bosak's inaction on feet. Had to go for it in second but didn't. Hey, easy for me to say. Ruth is Ruth.

Steve was broken physically in the third. Ruth looked a little petered too.

Bosak wrestled tough but Ruth is just too much. It should be a good final with Hamlin. Go Robert! I always like the way Hamlin wrestles. Nice job by Nevinger. That is 5 in a row since losing in the opening round. He seems to be built for the 3 day grind no? Tough match for Nashon. I love the kids energy. I believe he will win it all by the time he graduates. Let's not forget he has only wrestled for 4 years and is improving daily. Not a bad day. About where I expected us to be. Dake needs to bring home the prize now. Let's go Kyle! Let's gp Steve, Nashon and MIke tomorrow AM. Saturday AM is where the men separate from the boys IMO. Go Big Red!

I thought Ruth sounded pretty happy to be done with that match in the interview afterwards; but no mistake, he controlled that match. Interesting that he said he thought the match was won on his feet, and that by doing so, it forced him (Steve) to use so muck more energy on his shots. Good match strategy by Ruth & Co.

No cradles anywhere to be found for Ruth. Looked very different last year at 174.

Looked to me like Bosak wrestled the perfect match strategically. He was in a position to win in the third had he gotten an escape and a takedown, kind of like the finals last year. Of course, he didn't get the escape. Has Bosak ever been ridden for a whole period before? Of course, that's Ruth-- he does a lot of good stuff.

4 A/As. Congratulations to you guys. And I'm thinking/hoping another National Champion. Go Dake!

I'm definitely rooting for Hamlin too; he's been a thorn in Bosak's side, but that's what talent does.
