Four Blue Raider grapplers are nationally ranked
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Lindsey Wilson College wrestling team slipped to No. 11 in the latest NAIA Wresting Coaches' Top-20 Poll, released on Wednesday by NAIA officials.
Lindsey Wilson received 41.5 team points from the national raters. The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the Qualifying Groups.
Four Blue Raiders are ranked nationally in their weight class led by sophomore Ian Stephens' No. 2 ranking at 174 pounds.
The remaining ranked Blue Raiders include senior Charlie Pingleton who is ranked fifth at 157 pounds, senior Keith Klink who is sixth at 133 pounds and junior DaMonte Riley who is seventh at 141 pounds.
Grand View (Iowa) University is No. 1 in the poll with 143.5 team points. Campbellsville (Ky.) University and Southern Oregon University are second and third in the national poll.
The next national ranking is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, February 22.
Lindsey Wilson returns to the mat on Saturday, February 18 as the Blue Raiders travel to the regional championships in Williamsburg, Ky.
