Head Coach Pat Pecora (40th season) and the sixth-ranked Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cat wrestlers will kick-off the 2015-16 PSAC schedule against conference rival Kutztown University, Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center. This match was originally scheduled, for Friday, November 20, but had to be moved to accommodate the PSAC Volleyball Tournament Semifinals that will be played in the Sports Center on Friday.

Pitt-Johnstown kicked-off the 2015-16 dual meet schedule with a 39-6 victory over West Liberty last Friday in the Sports Center.

The Mountain Cats are led by returning three-time All-American McKillop, All-Americans John Blankenship (174 lbs.), two-time National Qualifiers Sam Hanau (141 lbs.) and Josh Duplin (285 lbs.), and National Qualifiers Evan Link (125 lbs.) and Tyler Reinhart (165 lbs.).

Nationally for Pitt-Johnstown, Blankenship (174 lbs.), McKillop (184 lbs.), and Duplin (285 lbs.) are ranked fourth and Reinhart (165 lbs.) is eighth.

Kutztown, under 15th-year Head Coach Rob Fisher, is ranked fifth in the Region with a 1-1 dual meet record. The Golden Bears competed in the Maryland Terrapin Duals on November 1 and suffered a 46-6 loss to Pitt, before defeating West Liberty (WV) 25-12. Kutztown also had three place-winners at last weekend's East Stroudsburg Open. Matt Martoccio finished fourth at 157 lbs., while Ryan Krecker (174 lbs.) and Brandan Clark (285 lbs.) both placed sixth for the Golden Bears.

Nationally, Martoccio is ranked fourth nationally at 157 lbs. for Kutztown. In Super Region I, Martoccio and Clark (197 lbs.) are both ranked third, while Joe Esposito (149 lbs.) and Krecker (165 lbs.) are fourth. Travis Roper is ranked fifth in the Region at 141 lbs.

Last season, Pitt-Johnstown opened-up an early lead, but Kutztown stormed back to win seven of the final nine bouts to deal the Mountain Cats a 25-9 loss in Friday's 2014-15 PSAC-opener in Kutztown on November 21.

The Mountain Cats travel to a PSAC match at East Stroudsburg University on Tuesday, before competing in the Grappling at the Garden even in Madison Square Garden on November 29. Pitt-Johnstown will not wrestling its next home match until January 22 when Gannon University visits the Sports Center.
