Belmont Abbey junior wrestler Scott Bosak has been slotted third nationally at 149 pounds in the preseason poll conducted by the Division II Wrestling Coaches' Association.

Bosak became the Belmont Abbey wrestling program's second All-America selection and the first since 2007 as he finished fifth at the NCAA Wrestling Championships in St. Louis, Missouri last spring.

The State College, Pennsylvania product wrapped up a sterling 2014-15 season that saw him finish 24-3 on the mat. He is the school's second All-America selection and the first since Chris Neidermeier in 2007. Neidermeier finished third at 125 pounds that year.

At the NCAA National Tournament, Bosak dropped his opening match to Keenan Haggerty then defeated Andrew Bannister of Notre Dame College 4-2.

In his next bout, with an All-America honor on the line, Bosak defeated Cameron Throckmorton of Shippensburg 4-3, recording a third period takedown to guarantee a top eight finish and an All-America selection.

He followed his win over Throckmorton with another 4-3 win, besting Brent Fickel of Ashland. Bosak then lost to Destin McCauley of Nebraska-Kearney by a 9-3 count to move to the fifth place match.

In the fifth place match against Jeremy Landowski of Mercyhurst, Bosak recorded an 8-3 win to finish fifth.
