Jamie Gill Named Asisstant Wrestling Coach at Kutztown

JAMIE GILL NAMED ASSISTANT WRESTLING COACH AT KUTZTOWN UNIVERSITY

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Kutztown University announced Thursday that Jamie Gill has been named assistant coach for the Golden Bears wrestling team.

A former KU wrestler, Gill comes back to his alma mater after a head coaching stint at Pottstown High school. In two years at Pottstown, he accumulated nine district champions, one state qualifier and a second place finish at the District 1 Dual Meet tournament.

Gill previously was an assistant coach at West Chester Rustin High School and the Glen Mills Schools. He coached for two club teams, Steel Mat Club and Turks Head.

A member of the Kutztown wrestling team from 2001-05, Gill led the team with 11 dual meet victories during his junior year and placed sixth at the PSAC tournament. He earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Kutztown University in 2005.

Gill currently serves as the Program Director of Capital Academy in Harrisburg, a private academic school and alternative education program.
