^^^March 31, 2012-

Bloomsburg University hwt,,Justin Grant, finished 2nd at the Last Chance Qualifier...With the finish he qualified for the 2012 Olympic Team Freestyle Trials at 120 kg.

Here is a link to a Grant bout (vs. Dustin Porter) and you can see coach Stutzman in a couple of shots, coaching Grant from mat side.

Nice Job - so I guess it is safe to say Grant will be stepping in at Hvy for the graduating Walsh. I saw Roosa wrestled in this tournament also so I'm guessing he'll be coming back (can he earn a starting spot in the lineup?). What about Veltre? What weight will he pop into? What about Shingara and Rappo? I know it is real early, but any projections on their lineup next year? Getting Roosa and Veltre back has to be a boost in competition for starting spots.

^^^If I were GUESSING Bloomsburg’s 2013 lineup projection, and not naming entire roster, I’d say-

125 Sean Boylan.
133 Nick Wilcox.
141 Matt Hicks and Matt Rappo.
149 Perhaps 2013 would be good year to RS Bryce Busler and expect Josh Roosa to start.
(As I recall, Shingara stopped wrestling mid Feb of 2012.)
157 Frank Hickman.
165 Josh Veltre starts and pushed for starting spot by Kevin Hartnett.
174 Perhaps 2013 would be good year to RS Mike Dessino and I would look for Chris Smith to move up to 174 and start.
184 Sam Shirey.
197 Richard Perry.
285 Justin Grant.
END

Interesting - did not realize Dessino had a redshirt year available. And with Tyler Rill coming on board, that could be competition for that spot while Dessino takes his redshirt.

^^^I'm high on Chris Smith and would be very suprised next fall if incoming frosh Tyler Rill were able to hang with him. On the other hand, wish I had a dime for every time I've been wrong.

Is Mirra out of the picture at 184?
