I'm at work and will be brief.
Other than DC... sounds like a bad day @ OK corral.
The above scenario reminds me of the Billy Martin/George Brett PineTar incident.
Martin waited till Brett rounded the bases to call the umpire and the rest of the officiating crew to show the excessive pine tar going beyond the bat's label.
But most knew what happened afterwards...

Jake's loss to Boykin was almost the same as Weiler's in style. At the edge, with all but a takedown, and all of a sudden the UTC Guy gets it.

They are weak, much weaker than in years past....the depth not nearly what it used to be in terms of ranked wrestlers coming in......Cornell, Missouri, NC State and OK State all were elsewhere.....those 4 alone make a huge difference to the holiday tournaments......then you have Ohio State choosing to not go to a holiday tournament......right there you have 4 teams that have consistently been top 10 and 1 in NC State that is getting to that level........

Frustrating tournament for Lehigh.... I would say it's been a good tournament for Cruz, Kutler, Wolf and Jakobsen, otherwise average or below (granted many due to injury).......who else at least met or exceeded their seed? Parker defintely put a hurt to his seeding come NCAA time, dinged or not..........

Lehigh's soft underbelly has been exposed. Better now than March.

It’s pretty damn cold here. Wouldn’t mind a winter event in my old neighborhood. Even though the duals are nowhere near South Beach.

Pretty weak tourney. No reason why Lehigh should not have been a clear 2nd place, behind PSU.

Hmmm, that didn't affect the nits somewhat... they're too busy having "fun," right?
What really WOULD suck, would be DC losing tonite. :|

ps... some Cornell posters (no names mentioned) have said (and suspected) that Lehigh would peak too soon... AND play into their hands come dual (AND EIWA) time.
Say it aint so, Joe!

Would it be reasonable that some of the MFFs are out of an abundance of caution? Karam, Schuyler, Ammerman, and Wood: how many were "real" injuries? Karam finished his match strongly (but with a little limp?) and Wood won his final match then MFF'd to Nevills, for example.

While there are some individual exceptions, this tournament was a bloodbath for Lehigh. The team seems to have a serious Michigan hangover.

125 - Cruz is a stud in all three positions and is wrestling phenomenally well. Maybe my favorite Lehigh wrestler ever. #1 seed and can do no better than wrestling to it.

133 - As I posted earlier, I thought Parker was on a mission this season, leading me to conclude that he's less than 100%. Either that or he had a really bad tournament. #1 seed, DNP.

141 - Whether or not it was bullshit, Karam lost to a blue chip true freshman from OK State and has now medically forfeited to 6th. #2 seed, 6th.

149 - The team is struggling to be competitive at this weight and Schuyler medically forfeited out of the tournament. Mele went 2-2. Unseeded, no place winners.

157 - Brown wrestled well below his seed. #3 seed, wrestling for 7th.

165 - Wolf is fun to watch and will win more than he loses. He is one of two guys on the team that has outperformed his seed as of now. Unseeded and will place between 3rd and 6th.
Longo is competitive and wrestles hard. Seeded 7th and will place 7th or 8th.

174 - Kutler is rock solid and I hope he lets it rip a little more against Hall than he did in the dual. What's he got to lose? #2 seed and wrestled to his seed at the very least.

184 - Ammerman was unseeded and medically forfeited out of the tournament. Need Preisch back. Unseeded and no place winners.

197 - This weight has left me scratching my head. Is Weiler caught between 184 and 197? Where will he end up? #7 seed and DNP.
Jackobsen wrestled pretty well but isn't quite ready to break though yet. Unseeded and will place 7th or 8th.

285 - Wood ran into a moose from Stanford and has now medically forfeited to 8th place. #4 seed, 8th.
Colucci was unseeded and went 3-2, so pretty good showing. Unseeded and DNP.

Wrestled above his seed - Wolf, Jakobsen

Wrestled below his seed - Parker, Karam, Brown, Weiler, Wood

Wrestled to his seed - Cruz (I hope), Kutler, Longo (hopefully)

Injured or defaulted out - Karam, Schuyler, Ammerman, Wood, Parker?, Jakobsen?
