Interesting. Drew Longo at 165 and no Ryan Preisch at 184.

Get your LUWrestlingNews while there's still time. On 12/12 we published that Preisch would return for AU/Navy.

**** We knew no Ryan at 184. Is GFW still going at 165 and Jakobsen still going at 197? If so did the seeding committee seed Longo and Weiler or did Lehigh have to state their point scorers and submit Longo and Weiler? Inquirering minds want to know.

I think the rules changed for this year; no more designating your points scorers. Whoever scores the most at a weight is the scorer.

**** If that is the case this year, it is interesting that Longo would be seeded and Wolf not seeded. With Weiler and Jakobsen, they are pretty close so no big issue there.

My crystal tells me that we might want to prepare ourselves for some possible changes to our lineup for the Scuffle.

Or is that a smudge? Let me get some Windex ....

I think it has been 2-3 years since SS required designated scorers. Pretty sure one of the Past 2 years someone else ended up as our point scorer at Mitch Minotti's weight.

Could be that Longo out-seeded GFW at SS because DL is a two time place winner vs never entered.

Pretty sure in both cases they will be placed in opposite half brackets. I assume at 149 the guys will be in 3 different quarter brackets

And this year it's a new rule that you do it by highest scorer.
It's been many years since I've done it regularly. I started putting the computations into my software at least 20 years ago and always recommended it at events since then.

I got it, just forgot. That happens as we age :D
Still surprised by 165. Cole must be hurt worse than a broken nose. And who doesn't love watching Gordon Wolf wrestle. Lehigh is extremely fortunate to have 3 very good wrestlers at this weight.

Jared Prince going at 149 for Navy and Gil seeded at 141. I wonder if Corey Wilding will also be in the field? Navy has 3 good wrestlers for 2 spots.

**** Your post is intriguing. I won't ask for details. Actually hoping there are some surprises, although the team is very strong as is. Looking forward to cracking open my 750 ML bottle of Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout and sipping while watching the SS on Flo.

The Devil obviously made JDA do it; I was similarly tempted to say something but semi-official status privately equates to 'no-go' online. And whatever 'it' might be, it's not a diehl-breaker as to going or not going. We'll all soon enough, but keep a sharp eye out for the final brackets (as if this group wouldn't already).

Walter strikes me as a member of the Travis Frick "come straight at you" school of wrestling. Not easy on the nose. I think he's better off taking some time to heal. The events that matter are in March, not January.
