Maybe so, but he outwrestled two veterans this weekend. His loss vs Wilding was more of a mental lapse than anything else. Drexel has some good Freshmen.

I don’t see the big deal. Preisch wrestles and the score looks about right. Couple of upsets Drexel’s way. An upset Lehigh way.

Oh, I agree. Well under the radar. Elvin must have gone into regionals like 38_2

I believe descent plan is up to 1.5% of body weight per week. He would need to have weighed in under 193

Where was Price, the backup 184? Schuyler has to learn some moves to add to his upper body throw and his switch. And Walter got pinned by a kid who was a two time Rhode Island state champion who also played volleyball, so what do you expect? Nice job by Weiler.

Back to what did we learn?
We cannot blank any team. Something always haunts us.
Drexel is as weak as Penn and if we continue to not wrestle we will not be a top 5 team for long.
Not concerned from the Drexel match but come on we need the backups to wrestle when called on.

Not sure if I saw a port a john on the way between the 2 schools but someone needs to look and see if maybe we dropped one in that port a john.

Merry Christmas and hope for better results at the new year.

I didn't watch either one of these duals, and I'll forget about the results in about 3 days.

Damn it BP, you beat me to it. I learned ‘know it all’ doesn’t ... still had to write it.

Know it all reminds me of BS/Buck/whorehouse. Another call sign?

Also, this sport has a nasty way of reminding you to not get too cocky.

>>>>>>>>>triman----- Dunn seems to be the emergency guy at 184. I think Price is better, but he may need some advance notice to make 184.

I thought we'd see Wolfman get a match today at 165. I don't if it was a ding, a wrestle off result or simply the coaches decision. Whatever it was Walter was the most gassed I've seen a Lehigh wrestler in years.

It's easy to question individual match strategy in hindsight, but both Schuyler and Walter scored quick 1st initial tds off good
leg attacks and then went upper body for most of time in neutral.

I liked the step up from Penn to Drexel. More realistic of what guys will encounter in a tourney where the matches usually get tougher as they advance.

Lastly, after watching Jake and Weiler, I'm thinking this team has more chances for AAs with Kutler/Preisch/ Weiler/Jake at 165/174/184/197 than the current lineup with Jake and Weiler competing for the 197 spot.

Lehigh 27-8 over #4 Mich. It's a great time to be a Lehigh wrestling fan.

True about Price being better. He's the 184 who's been filling in and getting better results in the tournaments. But if you've got a double header, it's foreseeable that someone may get injured in the first match, so If there are backups (like Price) for guys, coach/wrestler should insure that they can make weight, if necessary. No?
