Someone noted to me during the Michigan match that Schuyler was the 'better choice' against Michigan because "Amine is a thrower, and since Courtland is as well, he can defend himself more effectively."

I think this an astute observation, especially given the first few minutes of his match....

I am a major fan of questioning coaching discretion at Lehigh.

At this point in time, scribe is benign and actually reasonably funny.

Mr_flt isn't as bad as he is made out to be. Maybe he tries to hard to create "gotcha" moments, but he is a good Lehigh fan nonetheless. I don't get why so many are irritated by his comments. We all know and have our own opinions -- let's concentrate on those and not on trying to silence or be overly critical of anyone else.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I'm a Cortlandt fan myself... I, for one, would like to see more of him in the line up.
I suspect that the series between him and Mele will be ongoing until one of them show better results on the mat.
So far, with the short sample that we have at this time, I like CS.
Stay tuned, sport fans!

Cortland is a small city not far from my former in-laws in NY State. Cortlandt is a very nice asset on our roster; so is Jon Mele.

While it's probably true that mr fort lauderdale (mr football? who knows?) isn't as bad as he 'seems,' the saying remains "if the shoe fits" ... the day he cited obscure stats about guys from IA and PSU, it occurred to me he may be more a B1G fan than Lehigh, like that ohio state lurker we've enjoyed here (sometimes) over the years; I've never understood PSU and OhSt fans needing discussions elsewhere but mr f sez he's an LU fan and we need all of 'em we can muster, even if often thorny

Whatever; Happy T-bone Day to all, whoever you're for; I have a rare chance to watch my NY Football Giants today, an experience this year most like the movie "Risky Business"

Little scrawny dude with big hair, probably a 125 lber but with 197 lb lungs...Rainbow in the Dark, some serious hairband metal circa 1982....unless you were more into his Black Sabbath years

Once again, you’re wrong Denny. I publicly announced my alliances several times on this forum, most recently last March in the linked post below. Don’t see a B1G declaration there.

I would like to see Pomrinca get a bout at 149. Get the mix at 149 more interesting.

In the movie Justice League there is a very short (like > 2 sec) shot of the name of a boat appearing to me as the "Courtlandt".

Last year's 149 was a 133. Esposito before 149 was a 133. I know I would challenge up a weight if I did not crack the lineup.

...and you would lose.

Espo was a 134, not a 133. With the changes to weight cutting and weigh-in rules, the old 134 is now a 141.

Last year’s 149 was a 133 as a true frosh, and had a deferred year in the gap between. He also lost his 133 spot mid-season to last year’s 141. Even though he lost to Cruz, it could probably also be said that he outgrew 133 during his true frosh season as he went at 141 in several duals after Midlands.
