This was before choice.

I can see I'm going to have to up the ante in order to get some serious responses. Not only will I spring for a latte or equivalent, I will throw in a donut. Or equivalent. Whatever Bucknell is selling at the concessions area that's comparable.

George Sawtelle, Class of 1916. What did he do that no other Lehigh wrestler did, in a completely wrestling context, that pre-dated World War I?

I'm not even sure what that is, but I'm going to say nope.

From the 1914-1915 Alumni bulletin....

Wrestling Schedule

More than usual interest is being'
taken in wrestling at Lehigh this win-
ter because Taylor Gymnasium will be
the scene of the greatest event in the
college wrestling world, the Intercol-
legiate championship meet, to be held
March 2 6-2 7. About forty candidates
have been practicing under Coach
Sheridan. "While there is a shortage
of material in the heavier classes, the
prospects of the team as a whole are
considered favorable.

George Sawtelle, '16, is Captain and
C. P. Vance, '16, is Manager of the
team. The schedule follows:

Feb. 6 — Columbia, home.

Feb. 13 — Navy, away.

Feb. 19 — Univ. of Penna., away.

Feb. 27 — Penn State, home.

Mar. 5 — Cornell, home.

Mar. 13 — Brown, home.

Mar. 26-27 — Intereollegiates, at home.

Precursor to the EIWA's.
I liked the guess re two different wrights at the same dual. That is thinking outside the box.

George Sawtelle scored a touchdown for Lehigh's football team in 1914. Ran a recovered fumble back 80 yds.
