Are the brackets available online?

Google is failing me and I don't see it on the flowrestling site.

Bernstein Takes Fifth at CKLV Invitational, Captures 100th Career Win
LAS VEGAS, Nev. — NAVY senior Jadaen Bernstein (Glen Gardner, N.J.) scored a 7-5 victory over 15th-ranked Keaton Subjeck of Stanford to place fifth in the 174-pound weight class at the 2017 Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational Saturday afternoon. With the win over Subjeck, Bernstein (100-39) became just the 14th wrestler in school history to win 100 matches and the first since Peyton Walsh who completed his career with 108 victories in 2015.

“The Cliff Keen Las Vega Invitational has always offered great exposure to the nation’s top teams,” said fourth-year NAVY head coach Joel Sharratt. “This event was exactly what we needed after getting off to such a strong start. We needed this test to see where we are in comparison to the national stage.

“The 10 athletes who had the opportunity to represent the Naval Academy and our program this weekend gained a great deal of experience and learned valuable lessons from wrestling against some of the nation’s best. When competing at the highest level of college wrestling you have to do things right. Making mistakes in baseline skills will put you at a deficit that is incredibly challenging to come back from.”

Bernstein was one of four NAVY wrestlers who survived Friday’s opening day of competition at the CKLV Invitational, however, he was the only Mid to place at one of the most competitive tournaments NAVY will wrestle at this season. The field of 46 featured 15 programs ranked among the top 25 in the country and another five, including Navy, who are receiving votes. Additionally, over 100 ranked wrestlers were action.

Ohio State took the team title (155.5) with seven of its 10 wrestlers placing, including three crowned champions. Michigan (140), Arizona State (113.5), Northern Iowa (104) and Nebraska (100.5) rounded out the top five. NAVY, meanwhile, finished 22nd with 40 points, just two points outside of the top 20, and four points ahead of Drexel who the Mids will face next Friday in dual action.

Bernstein, who entered the tournament ranked fifth and seeded fourth, received an opening-round bye before pinning his first two opponents - Iowa State’s Hank Swalla (6:15) and Purdue’s Dylan Lydy (6:02). It marked just his eighth and ninth career wins by fall.

NAVY’s three-time NCAA qualifier fell victim to a fall against eighth-ranked and fifth-seeded Taylor Lujan of Northern Iowa, sending Bernstein to the consolation bracket. Bernstein bounced back and won back-to-back matches against #19 Joseph Johnson (8-3) of Harvard and #13 Yoanse Mejias (2-1) of Oklahoma before dropping a 10-1 major decision to sixth-ranked Myles Amine of Michigan in the consolation semifinals. Bernstein fought back to earn a 7-5 win against Subjeck to take fifth.

“Jadaen made a mistake in the quarterfinals against a scrappy wrestler he has wrestled before,” said Sharratt. “Anytime you put yourself in a position that your opponent can take you out with one skill, it hurts bad. That hurt fueled a stronger performance in his backside matches. Jadaen gets stronger as the tournament goes on; he loves that grind and it’s inspiring to our guys and demoralizing to our opponents.”

Also in action on Saturday were 141-pound Nicholas Gil (Jr. / Crystal Lake, Ill.), 149-pound Corey Wilding (Sr. / Pittsburgh, Pa.) and 184-pound Michael Coleman (Sr. / Hudson, Ohio), who all bowed out following the second round of consolation 8’s and just a match shy of placing.

“Corey (Wilding) continues to wrestle strong and consistent,” said Sharratt about his team captain. “His win over the #19 wrestler is another step in the right direction for him in reaching his goals. Every time he puts his foot on the line, you know your going to get a 100% effort and a commitment to excellence in core fundamentals.

“The discussion and planning this week was to compete for everything we have in front of us. Jonathan Carrera embodied this in his match against a nationally-ranked opponent from Arizona (eighth-ranked Anthony Valencia). Some early mistakes by Carrera cost him in the match outcome, however, battling to within a 10-9 decision demonstrates what the Navy wrestling brand is. We can always fix skills, but we can’t fix a lack of heart and Carrera showed he’s got a lot of heart.”

The Mids will wrestle their final match before stepping away for final exams and the holiday break when they travel to Philadelphia to face Drexel next Friday. The dual between the two EIWA foes is slated to begin at 5:00 pm and will be held at the Daskalakis Athletic Center.
