Best nationals I've ever been to. Not just because of Penn State's performance, but just amazing matches the whole way through the tournament, and upsets galore. I'll do a full write up in a few days. I caught a nasty flu bug out there and can barely get out of bed. By the way, grats to Darian Cruz on winning a NCAA title at 125. I loved that he beat that cocky SOB Gilman in the sems. Poetic justice. I was on the plane that Lehigh was on flying back to Philadelphia, and the flight attendant announced his title over the intercom and he got a well deserved round of applause from everyone on the plane. I also sat beside Randy Cruz on the flight home. I have no idea how he made 141. He must lose almost 25 pounds to make it. I asked him what he thought now that his wrestling career was over and he told me "I'm glad I don't have to look and feel like a holocaust survivor anymore." The coaches should have bumped him up to 149.
